Alfie is a patient assistant that helps your household with everyday technology, by text. Most requests are handled by AI; when a real person is needed, Alfie packages the situation and hands it to your family.
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. You're responsible for the household members and devices you set up, and for making sure you have permission to add someone.
Alfie offers general help with consumer technology. It isn't a substitute for professional advice, and it isn't an emergency service — in an emergency, contact your local emergency number. Alfie will never ask for your passwords, one-time codes, or payment details, and won't perform risky actions on a device. For those, it hands off to a person.
Joining the waitlist reserves your place and any founding pricing offered to early households. It doesn't guarantee a launch date or availability, and founding-price terms will be confirmed when we launch.
Please don't misuse Alfie — for example, don't use it for anything unlawful, don't try to break or overload it, and don't use it to harm or harass others. We may suspend accounts that do.
You keep ownership of the information and messages you provide. You give us permission to use them to operate and improve the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
We work hard to keep Alfie running well, but the service is provided "as is" and we can't promise it will always be available or error-free.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Alfie and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the service, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have that can't be limited under applicable law.
You can stop using Alfie and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these Terms are broken, or to protect the service or its users.
We may update these Terms as Alfie grows. We'll post the new version here, and for significant changes we'll let you know.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be handled by the courts of British Columbia.
